Jackson Bailey (they/them) is a multidisciplinary trans, non-binary artist and educator based in Tkaronto/Toronto. Working across analog and experimental photography, printmaking, installation, video, and fibre-based media, their practise explores themes of grief, resistance, survival, and healing. As an agender artist living with disabilities, Jackson is committed to disrupting binary norms and creating accessible, care-centered environments for trans and gender-diverse creative expression. Their work has been exhibited across Canada, the U.S., and Europe, and often combines tactile processes with layered storytelling rooted in queer lineage and intergenerational memory.
Beyond the darkroom, Jackson is deeply involved in community arts—facilitating workshops, mentoring trans youth, and building collaborative projects that centre access, skill-sharing, and collective growth. They have led programming in partnership with Gallery 44, Sherbourne Health, Lakeshore Arts, The 519, and other organizations across the arts and health sectors.
